Timwa Lipenga
Timwa Lipenga is a lecturer in the Department of Languages, Linguistics and Classical Studies at the University of Malawi, where she teaches French. She loves writing, and her stories have been published in anthologies such as The Daily Assortment of Astonishing Things (The Caine Prize for African Writing: 2016) and African Road (PEN: 2006). She has also written a biography of Malawi’s first female cabinet member, Rose Chibambo (Logos Publications: 2019). She is the co-founder of Makewana’s Daughters, an organization which promotes creative writing by Malawian women.
